Whitlam Place proves
'it’s time' for prime residential development

WHITLAM_4.1.jpg

With Fitzroy basking in its status as one of Melbourne’s hottest suburbs,

Milieu Property felt timing was right for the launch of its new Whitlam Place boutique residential development in early October; coincidentally, just prior to the sad passing of the man in whose honour it was named.

The collection of 11 premium apartments, located in Napier St, within Fitzroy’s leafy golden triangle, present an unprecedented level of luxury, distinction and detail in an unrivalled location.

The property was collaboratively designed by Melbourne-based design practices

Freadman White and

Anon Studio.

Taking in views of the adjacent Whitlam Place gardens, St. Marks Spire and Melbourne’s city skyline, the project has been inspired by the classical proportions of the nearby Fitzroy Town Hall.

Set among the city’s landmarks, within the city’s epicurean and cultural precinct, and within walking distance of the MCG and CBD, Whitlam Place has been designed to engage with its historic surroundings; from the texture of the building’s facade, to the oversized sliding glass panels that allow the bordering parklands to be brought inside.

Ranging in size from 44 to 147 square metres, and priced from $480,000 to $1.7 million, the three one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom properties are already attracting interest from young professional couples and downsizers.

All the apartments feature generous terraces, separate storage units, bicycle parking and park front aspects, overlooking the Fitzroy Town Hall.

According to Milieu Property Director Michael McCormack, Whitlam Place sets a new benchmark for quality, detail and richness of built form.

“Our team has brought intellectual rigour, vision and a totally commensurate design philosophy to this project,” Mr McCormack said.

“Our desire to establish Whitlam Place as being in a class of its own has driven every decision we’ve made.”

Buyers will need to act fast to secure a Milieu property at Whitlam Place, with the developer’s previous residential project, in nearby Moor St selling out in four weeks.
