Construction Commences On Westside Indooroopilly

WESTSIDE_PLP001-V01A-A2_620x380

Construction has commenced on Village Building Co’s $66 million ‘Westside Apartments’ project at Indooroopilly, with more than half of the 119 apartments already sold.

McNab Constructions has been appointed as the building contractor, with the project expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.

Westside is located adjacent to the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and features a mix of one, two and three bedroom floorplans. Remaining unsold apartments are priced from $365,500.

Westside is the fourth active Queensland project for 28 year veteran developer Village Building Co, which is also delivering WoodLinks Village in Collingwood Park, Acacia Grove in Beerburrum and Abode in Kallangur.

Village Building Co has developed more than 14,000 residential products throughout Canberra, New South Wales and Queensland.

It recently acquired its first residential development site in Melbourne and is looking to expand its workbook further in Queensland over the coming years.

Village Building Co Queensland Development Manager Sam Burgess said the company acquired the Indooroopilly site in 2015 and believed the site had a lot of locational advantages compared to other parts of the city.

"The early sales success is a testament to our decision to develop in Indooroopilly," he said.

"It's the right type of project in the right location, and as a result we are attracting strong interest from a wide range of buyers.

"For both owner occupiers and investors, the key drawcard is always location."Westside Indooroopilly is six kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and also in close proximity to the University of Queensland. The transport infrastructure allows easy access to Legacy Way, the Indooroopilly railway station and bus interchange.

"From a lifestyle perspective, the development boasts close proximity to the Indooroopilly golf course, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and the Brisbane River, with plenty of walking and bike tracks," Mr Burgess said.

"The location has provided an excellent canvas for us to work from. Westside is being built on an elevated site which means that many apartments will have views of either the city, Mt Coot-tha or the Brisbane River.

"Westside will be an entertainers delight, with a beautiful residents' recreation area featuring a pool and barbecue terraces."
