Plans Filed for Castle Hill Showground Tower

Castle Hill development

Plans have been lodged with the Hills Shire Council for an eight-storey residential building in a fast-growing suburb in Sydney’s north-west.

Sydney-based Elante Homes commissioned Archidrome to design the project at 17-23 Fishburn Crescent and 23-27 Chapman Avenue.

If approved, it will offer 148 units, including 34 three-bedroom units, 20 of which will have studies, and 96 two-bedroom apartments, of which 45 will have studies, tapping into the demand from buyers and tenants for spaces suitable for working from home.

The remainder of the development, which is in the Showground Station Precinct, will be one-bedroom units.

The plans also detail 2731sq m of communal open space at ground and roof levels, and internal communal facilities including a gym, multi-purpose room and communal cafe.

It will have a capital investment value of $62 million and has been sent up the chain to the Sydney Central City Planning Panel.

The area has a rural and residential character, with a host of single and double-storey homes, but the site is zoned high-density residential under The Hills Local Environmental Plan 2019

The Hills Showground Station Precinct is a major area of growth within the area, one of eight station precincts along the Sydney Metro Northwest urban corridor.

The precinct has since attracted major developers such as Deicorp, which launched construction at its $445-million mixed-use project there last year, and Bridgestone Projects, which says it expects to complete its 296-apartment residential development in the area by the end of this year.
