Work Begins On Strathfield Luxury Homes

National residential developer, Metro Property Development (Metro) has commenced construction works on Stage One its $260 million town home and apartment development in Sydney.

Fairway Residences, located on part of the Strathfield Golf Club site, is Metro’s first major development in New South Wales.

Located at 88 Centenary Drive, Fairway Residences will comprises 50 luxury homes designed by high‐profile architects Marchese + Partners.

Stage One includes 50 homes, offering three and four bedroom designs split over two or three levels, measuring 251 to 303 square metres. Some of these come with expansive views of the adjacent golf course and prices range from $1.695 to $2.3 million.

“It’s no surprise that already half of these properties have been snapped up, with a lot of interest from local downsizers looking for a quality option within their existing area,” Metro Properties General Manager Phil Leahy said.

“We’re seeing a diverse range of buyers drawn to the tranquil location and easy lifestyle that comes with living in a large terrace style home without the upkeep of a traditional house.

"Buyers also like the location within close reach of transport, shopping centres, parks and schools,” he said.

Metro have worked to incorporate comfort and luxury to the design, with the homes showcasing open entertaining spaces with kitchens flowing into both dining and living rooms which have gas fireplaces with a tile finish.

Large folding glass doors open to decked terraces that have been tailored to the Australian lifestyle with fitted barbeques and lawns with hedges that border the pristine golf course.

The bedrooms within each home are laid with plush carpets and come with both built‐in and walk‐in wardrobes. Ground floor master bedrooms also enjoy a view of the golf course through floor to ceiling glass pane windows.

Strathfield Golf Club is also currently building a new Clubhouse as well as upgrading a range of facilities only a short walk from the development site.

Civil construction works on Stage One are anticipated to be complete by late this year, with home construction expected to be complete late 2017.
