TUD Awards Winner: Development of the Year - Industrial

The fourth annual The Urban Developer Awards, in association with Trilogy Funds, recognises standout property industry performers from across Australasia.

The awards program is delivered digitally, replacing the previously held black-tie gala dinner with our virtual celebration of content.

Today, we celebrate Development of the Year - Industrial, proudly presented by Trilogy Funds.

This award recognises excellence in the development of projects in the industrial sector including, warehouses, logistics centres and business parks.

The finalists for Development of the Year - Industrial are:

  • Fort Altona Business Park
    Incore Developments

  • Centuria Industrial REIT's Five-Star Green Star Industrial Facility
    Centuria Capital Group

  • Snackbrands Australia
    Altis Property Partners

About this project

Altis Property Partners has delivered a state-of-the-art warehouse to operate an Automated Storage Retrieval System (ASRS), a large-scale automation solution that offers efficiency gains across order fulfilment, inventory control and maximising warehouse footprint.

While more common in Europe and the US, currently there are only a handful of high-bay warehouses in Australia that utilise this cutting-edge warehouse performance technology.

The facility in Erskine Park is on land four times the size of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and offers Snackbrands significant operational efficiency gains.

Project details

  • Snackbrands 32,000 sqm facility has the capacity to store 50,000 pallets and is one of the most prominent high-bay facilities in Australia.

  • At 37m high, the Snackbrands facility is the tallest warehouse in the Penrith Local Government Area.

  • A high-bay warehouse requires advanced geotechnical specifications due to the increased weight the ground is expected to hold. Altis developed a 1:2000 slope specification and created a bespoke slab design that was capable of supporting such a large building and increased weight.
