Upscaled plans have been filed adding 12 storeys to an approved tower scheme along a Surfers Paradise riverfront development hotspot.

The revised proposal comprises a 30-storey tower—an increase of almost 70 per cent on the 18-storey plans given the green light in April last year.

Earmarked for a 1057sq m site at 50 Sunset Boulevard, the reworked scheme bolsters the apartment yield from 43 to 72 units.
