Melbourne's West Village Locks In Owner Occupiers

w

West Village, a boutique development in the heart of West Melbourne, has achieved 70% of sales in the first two months, garnering strong interest from owner-occupiers looking to capitalise on the transforming industrial hub.

Located on Rossyln Street and featuring 19 luxury one and two-bedroom apartments across six levels, West Village places an emphasis on community and draws inspiration from the quaint neighbourhood in Lower Manhattan.

Founder and Managing Director of Nicson Property Group, Johnson Tran, said West Melbourne is one of the last inner city suburbs to undergo a radical transformation in terms of urbanisation, with the industrial aspect slowly phasing out.

“West Melbourne has traditionally been an industrial suburb but is currently experiencing an influx of boutique developments and new restaurants and cafes, as well as the highly publicised arrival of Haileybury College in 2017.

“The location, coupled with the building’s unique design, has been attractive to local owner-occupiers who want to be close to the hustle and bustle of the city, but also want the suburban feel of a wide tree-lined street with ample parking,” said Johnson.

Apartments have been designed to seamlessly integrate the outdoors, with floor- to-ceiling windows connecting the terrace with the combined living, dining and kitchen area and a neutral palette flows throughout.

Residents will also have access to a stunning rooftop garden, boasting views over the buzzing suburb below.

"The floor plan of each apartment has been meticulously planned with architects, and created to maximise the amount of useable living space. The open-plan design minimises wasted circulation areas while providing each residence with maximum exposure to natural light,” said Tran.

“The best part about the transformation of West Melbourne is the boutique size of the developments, consisting mostly of low to mid rise buildings. It’s very important to maintain the suburban aspect and feel of West Melbourne as that is what young families and professionals are looking for.”

West Village marks Nicson’s third successful project in the past 12 months, off the back of the group’s successfully sold out The Yarra and Riverside developments, both in Yarraville.
