South Coast Golf Club Seeks JV Partner for Seniors Living Precinct

Preliminary investigations by the club have unveiled a preference towards seniors living due to synergies and future income generation for the club, with the club’s main objective being to find a collaborative partner that they can work with now and into the future.

A development area of about 3.9ha (3900sq m) has been identified. 

Current major local infrastructure projects include the $438-million Shoalhaven Hospital redevelopment and Shoalhaven Community and Recreational Precinct.  

Shoalhaven is a booming regional economy with a projected 23 per cent increase in population by 2024 to 140,000 residents. Currently, 26.8 per cent of the population in Nowra are over the age of 60 years (ABS).  

The ageing population and national housing shortage highlight the immediate and ongoing need for quality seniors living developments.
