South-East Queensland Apartment Pipeline Racing Toward Do-or-Die Moment

South-East Queensland’s apartment pipeline faces a 12-month crunch that will mean thousands of homes are not built.
Without intervention, more than 15,000 apartments across Brisbane and the Gold Coast are at risk of missing the construction window ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games build program, Charter Keck Cramer national director of research Richard Temlett warns.
The data compiled by the property research firm shows 7807 build-to-sell apartments are currently being marketed across South-East Queensland without sufficient pre-sales to secure a builder, alongside a further 8086 build-to-rent apartments that are yet to commence construction.
