Australian architecture firm ROTHELOWMAN has received a ‘Special Mention’ in international design competition the Architizer A+ Awards.

ROTHELOWMAN project Albert Tower, developed by The Carter Group and Perri Projects, was recognised in the Multi Unit Housing - High Rise (16+ Floors) category.

The Architizer A+ Awards Special Mentions are awarded to practices recognised as leaders across the architecture and design industry worldwide.

The title affirms ROTHELOWMAN’s work and vision across Australia’s competitive multi-residential landscape, with entries from over 100 countries received.

Located at 38 Albert Road, South Melbourne, the standout design of Albert Tower features a hexagonal ‘exoskeleton’ (external skeleton) that references the cellular structure of plants as inspired by the tower’s proximity to Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens.
