The Value-Add Game: How Developers Optimise Existing Projects

91606a1e-e26c-45d3-a635-c2b559844c58

An overwhelming 81 per cent of Australia’s buildings are more than 10 years old. As demand for new buildings and spaces increases, repurposing existing developments is now a timely investment for many property owners and developers.

If designed with modern energy efficient capabilities, retrofit and refurbishment projects can yield potential energy savings of 50 per cent to 70 per cent—equivalent to $9 billion in cost savings between now and 2030.

Successfully undertaking such projects requires significant consideration not only in terms of stakeholder collaboration, but also selecting and refurbishing in a live operating environment.

With this in mind, IQPC is proud to deliver the Retrofit and Refurb Summit 2019, to be held on 3-4 December in Sydney.

The reinvigorated program addresses the key challenges surrounding successful project delivery, focusing on driving tenant satisfaction, optimising building performance through technology, and future-proofing strategies to ensure longevity.

See the event agenda for all sessions, speakers and workshops here.

Learn from 15-plus property developers and owners on their projects across Australia, including:

  • Investa’s $8 Million 201 Kent Street refurbishment: Creating a connected and visible space for visitors to meet and collaborate.

  • JLL’s 175 Liverpool Street: Uncovering the Project and Development Services team strategy to refurbish a 1970s building into an A-Grade commercial office building.

  • Genton’s approach to refurbishing and repurposing the 50,000sqm Morris Moor from manufacturing site to urban destination.

  • Norman Disney and Young’s project on the Westpac Kogarah Building’s to elevate credentials from 0 to 4.5 Stars.

  • Cundall’s Sydney Airport Terminal 1 Project: Future proofing and refurbishing a highly operational and secure environment.

  • City of Sydney’s Building Tune-Up Program: Maximising comfort, savings and reliability of commercial buildings.
