7 Reasons You Should be Attending Urbanity ’17

The Urban Developer’s inaugural Urbanity ’17 conference kicks off later this month. In anticipation, we thought we’d share some of the reasons we have put Urbanity ’17 together in the first place – and they just happen to be the same reasons we think attending the 2-day event 28-29 September is an absolute must!

1. Learn from the Best

From the latest market movements to the wildest predictions for the future, we've brought together over 50 of the best and brightest to bring you a practical learning experience that you can incorporate into your day-to-day life.

2. Be Inspired

We'll cover the stories of failure, success and everything in between by exploring the extraordinary stories of city-shapers from across the country and the globe.

From champions of workplace diversity to social-entrepreneurs and rich-listers, there’s something for everyone!

3. Connect with New and Prospective Clients
Urbanity ’17 will bring together 500 of the industry’s most influential leaders and decision-makers from across the entire eco-system of the built environment sector: planning, design, property development, construction, technology, government and business services.

We've intentionally limited the number of attendees to ensure we create a meaningful experience that facilitates the connection of people and business.

4. Experience New Products through Interactive Exhibits

Let’s admit it, we’re tech-heads! We’ve had an absolute ball putting together the exhibitors for Urbanity.

From Tesla’s

latest advancements in electric vehicles, solar roofs and battery walls to the latest in virtual reality, smart lighting and shared bike systems, we hope you enjoy the exhibitors of Urbanity as much as we do!

5. Your Attention Is Our Obsession

The sessions and workshops have been designed to engage by focusing on content that is succinct, targeted and visual.

Our "punchy" program will move at an animated pace that reflects the world we live in.

6. Dive Deep Through Interactive Workshops

We’ve brought together five outstanding workshops that tackle everything from practical placemaking and development funding, to project marketing strategies and human-centred design.

Ensure you secure tickets to ensure you don’t miss out on the workshops.

7. Have a Bloody Good Time

And finally, true to TUD form, we’re looking forward to having a great time!

In partnership with Hutchinson Builders, join us for drinks on Thursday night, and then back it up on Friday afternoon for The Roast Lunch.

Hosted by The Betoota Advocate, The Roast Lunch is a light-hearted and casual take on an industry-old tradition.

Stay tuned – we’re soon to announce who’ll be getting Roasted.

We have announced the programme for our Urbanity ’17. We have revealed two speaker line-ups. We’ve answered your FAQs on what you can expect to learn at our conference. And our last announcement was an overview of who we already have in attendance.

The Urban Developer, in partnership with Queensland Government and Brisbane Development Association, Urbanity 2017 is a two-day conference held at Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre, 28 - 29 September, 2017.

Ticket registrations are open. Be quick to ensure you don’t miss out.
