Three Years to Assemble Toorak Site, Less Than One to Win Approval
Melbourne’s luxury apartment market is slowing, but Toorak’s high-end pipeline keeps moving, with a $60-million downsizer project winning approval after a three-year site assembly.
Willow Development Group’s scheme in the blue ribbon suburb was filed through the state’s Great Design Fast Track pathway.
Willow submitted plans for the 1020sq m site in August. It took the developer took three years of negotiations with eight apartment owners, to assemble the site.
Willow Development Group managing director Michael Skala told The Urban Developer it had been a “long journey”.
