Modular Homes’ Advantages Wins Over Developers

ed2d932a-2433-4774-b7a1-36436946eebd

FIVE uniquely built homes are nearing completion to be showcased as part of a new estate located 15 minutes from the Gold Coast.

The homes are part of stage one of the new estate called Horizon, located on Denali Street in Holmview, by developers MeCo Developments Pty Ltd.

Manufactured by notable Volo Modular Homes in Yatala in a matter of weeks, the homes are 195sqm, feature stunning views and comprise four bedrooms and two bathrooms, making them suitable for families .

Developing a series of homes with a modular builder was an easy choice for MeCo Developments Pty Ltd directors Matt Mercer and Bernice Cooper.

“Anyone who builds will understand that if you are able to save time, you are able to save money,” Mrs Cooper said.

“Traditional homes can take up to 6 months to build and building five homes would have easily taken this long. But construction times with Volo are six weeks. We ended up choosing Volo because of the time factor and the obvious differences in quality and structural strength.”

The five homes are located on elevated land and offer stunning mountain views. They are central, being positioned only minutes away to a shopping centre, grocery stores, restaurants, and a selection of schools.

Volo specialises in building on various types of blocks from level, stepped or irregular shaped blocks. Every home built by Volo is customisable and can be designed especially for the land with careful planning and construction.

Although the homes are constructed in a warehouse operated by highly experienced staff, Mrs Cooper added the homes have all the same benefits of a traditional built home. The steel frame and additional reinforcement in the roof provides the added benefit or being more termite and weather resistant when compared to a standard construction.

“These homes have all the benefits of a normal home. Once constructed, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between a Volo Modular home and a home constructed on site. There are no visible differences from the outside or the inside - the fixtures and finishes are if not better,” Mrs Cooper said.

“It was a smooth process building with Volo. They provided costings in a timely manner and communicated with us during the entire process. We visited the facility in Yatala numerous times during construction and the site supervisor made sure every question we had was answered.

Volo Homes CEO and founder, Garrick Bull said modular home estates are becoming an easy choice for developers due to the quick manufacturing with the highest quality materials and building standards.

“Here at Volo, we have no building limitations. We can complete a home in a fraction of the time it takes to construct a traditional house,” Mr Bull said.

“You’re not boxed in for options with modular builds either. If you’re a growing family, or looking for extra space - we can grow with you. Whether you need an extra bedroom, bathroom, living area or kitchen, it’s easy for us to add on another modular to suit your needs.”

Volo Homes is an Australian company based on the Gold Coast who design, build and install modern, robust and highly insulated structures. The modular homes are built in a factory which is operated without any building limitations by experienced construction workers. A home can take 8-10 weeks to build in the factory and 4-6 weeks on site to install.
