In a glitzy affair held at Sydney’s Westin Hotel last Thursday, The Urban Developer received recognition for Australian Business Website of the Year.

The Mumbrella Publish awards are one of Australia’s leading media and publishing award nights, established to recognise the best in consumer, business-to-business and custom publishing.

At the awards night held last Thursday, The Urban Developer was recognised, receiving a high commendation in the Australian Business Website of the Year category.

The judges acknowledged The Urban Developer's rapid growth, loyal community and diverse media offering as worthy of commendation.

The award for Website of the Year -- Business -- was judged on editorial content, reader engagement, marketing, design, effectiveness and overall execution.

Business Insider Australia, owned by Allure Media, were the overall winners of the award.

“We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings in a bedroom four years ago,” founder of The Urban Developer Adam Di Marco said.

“Whilst we were disappointed to miss out on the top prize, we are proud to have been recognised and it’s a sign that our evolution is heading in the right direction."

Co-founder Lachlan Webb reaffirmed his commitment to the publication in light of the recognition.

“We’re excited for the future of our business, as we embark on the next generation of digital products and services that we will roll-out over the coming months.

Di Marco was quick to acknowledge his close-knit team of editors, event managers, sales directors, technology developers and staff.

“Beyond all of this, none of this can happen without our loyal community, who deserve the ultimate thanks!”
