The Urban Developer Sets Sail for Homeless Youth

The Urban Developer is ready to set sail as the media sponsor for the long-running Property Industry Foundation NSW and Queensland Charity Regattas.

The foundation provides young people with safe housing and a second chance in life.

This month, the foundation and The Urban Developer announced they had entered into a strategic national partnership to help build awareness and raise funds for youth homelessness in Australia.

“We are committed to leveraging The Urban Developer platform to help improve the plight of people facing homelessness across the country,” founder and chief executive Adam Di Marco said.

▲ Winners are grinners: The NSW regatta is celebrating 25 years this year and the Brisbane event is marking a decade.

“We are proud to be joining the Property Industry Foundation regattas in Queensland and New South Wales, particularly as the Sydney Regatta celebrates a remarkable 25 years.

“The foundation’s high-profile regattas are a great opportunity to fundraise and connect with others in the property industry.”

This year, the regattas are a celebration of the collective impact that the property and construction industry has had in raising essential funds and awareness for the 44,000 young people currently facing homelessness in Australia.

“Young people make up almost a quarter of all people experiencing homelessness and as an industry we need to rally for better outcomes for these people,” Di Marco said.

▲ The regattas not only raise funds for youth homelessness but bring the industry together.

“We are really looking forward to being a part of the cut and thrust of the regatta events and connecting with like-minded property colleagues to raise important funds and awareness for youth homelessness in Australia.”

Join us on Sydney Harbour on March 15 and celebrate 25 years of sailing for homeless youth in NSW or set sail on May 17 in Brisbane as the Queensland event marks 10 years.

Experience a race to remember and raise funds for secure homes for vulnerable young people. All regatta funds raised go towards the foundation’s building program The Haven Project.
