McNab Named Top 100 Workplace in Australia as Culture Drives Growth

McNab Group has been recognised as one of Australia’s Top 100 Workplaces by Great Place to Work Australia, cementing its reputation as a people-first organisation delivering strong, sustainable performance.

The accolade adds to McNab’s recent recognition as UDIA Queensland 2025 Employer of Choice and its ranking of No.21 in Queensland on IBISWorld’s Top 500 private companies list.

Together, the recognitions underscore McNab’s position as one of Australia’s leading construction and property businesses, where culture, capability and commercial performance are tightly aligned.

CEO Kunjan Ganatra said the recognition reflected a deliberate strategy to grow the business while protecting what matters most.

“Being named one of Australia’s Top 100 Workplaces and an Employer of Choice is particularly meaningful because it reflects the lived experience of our people,” Ganatra said.

“These outcomes confirm our belief that great culture drives great performance—and that the two must grow together.”

The Great Place to Work recognition follows McNab’s employee survey results, which recorded 78 per cent voluntary participation and found that 96 per cent of employees consider McNab a great place to work, compared with 60 per cent at a typical Australian organisation.

The 2025 survey captured feedback from more than 158,000 employees across Australia, making it the most comprehensive evaluation of workplace culture in the nation’s history.

‘Special group’

Executive chairman Michael McNab said the recognition was a testament to the culture the team has built together.

“We’ve always known we have a special group of people at McNab,” McNab said.

“Their commitment to each other, our clients and the communities we work in is what sets us apart. When culture is grounded in values, inclusion and opportunity, people thrive—and the business thrives with them.”

McNab’s Employer of Choice credentials were further reinforced through its recognition as a Future Lady Tradies Employer of Choice, celebrating organisations that actively create inclusive environments where women are supported to build long-term careers.

The company’s focus on training and leadership development continues to differentiate it in the market. Through initiatives including its Future Leaders Program, Accelerate, and Cadet and Apprentice Days, alongside partnerships with industry experts and TAFE Queensland, McNab provides clear pathways for people to build careers, not just jobs.

Rebecca Moulynox, general manager of Great Place to Work ANZ, said this year’s Best Workplaces list highlighted organisations that treated culture as a strategic asset.

“These organisations show that when trust, pride and camaraderie are embedded in the workplace, people deliver their best work and businesses achieve exceptional results,” Moulynox said.

Jobs on offer

Looking ahead, McNab anticipates hiring more than 150 people across its businesses in 2026, as the company’s growth continues across construction, property and its integrated service offerings.
