Melbourne based developer Little Projects has just appointed local construction firm Hickory Group to build the $220 million Central South Yarra project.

Located on 3 Yarra St, South Yarra, the Central South Yarra site is positioned in the famed Forest Hill precinct, just 3.4km from the CBD.

Celebrated as one of the city’s most fashionable suburbs, Central South Yarra residents will be in the heart of Melbourne’s prominent fashion, dining and entertainment.

The 30-storey development will comprise 356 one- and two-bedroom apartments and two penthouses and features a striking façade by renowned architects, ROTHELOWMAN.

Sales at Central have been strong, with one-bedrooms apartments no longer available. One-bedroom apartments ranged in price from $348,000 to $500,000 and were 45sqm to 48sqm. Balconies ranged in size from 4.5sqm to 35sqm.

Two-bedroom apartments range in size form 62sqm to 92sqm. Two-bedroom apartments with one bathroom are priced from $588,000. Two-bedroom apartments with two bathrooms are prices from $745,000.

One penthouse apartment is still available at $2.75million and sized at 216.5sqm with a large 47.5sqm balcony.

With interiors by Plus Architecture, Central offers contemporary living with each apartment complete with Miele appliances, stone bench tops, mirrored kitchen splash backs, detailed joinery and reverse cycle heating and air conditioning. The choice of light or dark colour scheme is also available.

Generous open-plan living and kitchen areas boast an abundance of natural light and space, and large terrace balconies offer residents views of the city.

Central residents’ can enjoy the luxury of resort-style areas, providing spaces to relax or entertain. The Rooftop Retreat provides panoramic views of the city or the Dandenong Ranges, and includes landscaped outdoor Sky Terrace, Lounge, Kitchen, Dining Room, Well-being Gym and Pool.

With an abundance of transportation options included road, train and tram connecting residences to broader Melbourne, Central South Yarra is set to appeal to homebuyers and investors alike, looking to be a part of the city’s cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Completion of construction on Central South Yarra is expected by mid-2015.
