Fortis’s Richmond Square Office-for-Hotel Pivot Waved Ahead

Fortis has secured approval of a 57-key hotel in its inner east Melbourne precinct after going back to the drawing board with an approved 12-storey office scheme.

The Sydney-based developer has been greenlit to develop the “premium” hotel at its $330-million mixed-use precinct at Richmond Square.

The development, primarily at 1-5 Wiltshire Street at Richmond, 4.5km east of Melbourne CBD, is planned to be a luxury, service and amenity-focused lifestyle precinct, Fortis said.
