Justice Fox Property Group has filed plans for a five-building mixed-use development in a popular beachside town on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.
The Sydney-based developer wants to build 95 apartments, including tourist accommodation, at Lake Cathie, about 15km south of Port Macquarie.
Plans for the development on a 5822sq m site at Whitewater Terrace are on public exhibition by the Port Macquarie-Hasting Council.
According to Newcastle-based ELK, the development will include five buildings, each of five storeys with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
About 1240sq m of floor space will be provided for up to eight commercial tenancies.
The plans call for some indoor recreation facilities and parking will be provided for 176 vehicles.
Elk Designs said the site had a direct connection to Rainbow Beach, as well as good access to transport routes to Lake Cathie’s town centre and Port Macquarie.
“The proposal has been designed to provide quality residential apartments, private and engaging residential spaces and activated commercial spaces, that responds to and utilises the advantages of its context and fits within the future vision and character of the area,” Elk said.
According to online development monitor BCI Central, the development will have estimated construction costs of $20.4 million.
