Final Call for Affordable Housing Summit Registration

Time is running out to join The Urban Developer’s Affordable Housing Development Summit in Sydney on Thursday, August 28.

This is your final chance to be part of the national conversation on practical, scalable solutions to Australia’s housing crisis, with insights from more than 15 speakers and the opportunity to connect with 100-plus C-suite leaders shaping the future of affordable housing.

Australia’s housing system remains under severe pressure. The National Housing Supply and Affordability Council’s 2025 report is blunt: we are “still very much in a housing crisis”, with a forecast 262,000-home shortfall against the 1.2-million Housing Accord target.

Rental vacancy was at 1.2 per cent nationally last month, underscoring the urgency to accelerate supply.

Why attend

Across keynotes, panels and case studies, the summit connects policy, capital and development to move projects from idea to delivery. Expect practical guidance on:

  • Planning, density and design for better outcomes

  • Private capital’s role in affordable and supported housing

  • Scalable partnerships that deliver results

  • Faster delivery via streamlined procurement and deal-making

  • Unlocking faith-based and underutilised land

  • How to build more, build better—and make it viable.

Speakers to watch

Hear from leaders spanning government, development, design, law and community housing, including: Scott Langford (Housing Australia), Robert Furolo (Deicorp), Belinda Bentley (9Springs), Charles Daoud (Traders in Purple), Jane Lloyd (Habilis Housing), Richard Ollerhead (SDG), Melissa Neighbour (Sky Planning), Ross Jones (Sydney Anglican Property), Nicholas Carney (Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer), James Pearce (Fender Katsalidis), Cathy Houston (MA Financial), David Schwartz (SGS Economics & Planning), Laurie Leigh (Bridge Housing) and more.

  • When: Thursday, August 28, 2025

  • Where: Establishment Ballroom, Sydney

  • Who: 100-plus C-suite professionals, 7-plus sessions, more than 15 speakers
