A pioneer in advancing environmental responsibility within the real estate sector will be celebrated at The Urban Developer Awards in July.
In its second year as part of The Urban Developer’s annual awards for Industry Excellence, the ULI Award for Decarbonisation in Real Estate signifies a significant step towards acknowledging projects or programs that epitomise best practices for reducing carbon emissions in real estate.
Your project could follow in the footsteps of the lauded Nightingale Village, which received the inaugural award last year, with Nightingale Housing chief executive Dan McKenna and Kennedy Nolan's Victoria Reeves accepting the award (pictured in main image above).
This award is a cornerstone of a pioneering partnership between The Urban Developer and the Urban Land Institute aimed at fostering knowledge exchange, networking among industry leaders, and celebrating sustainable development initiatives.

This award and the ongoing collaboration between The Urban Developer and the ULI (Urban Land Institute) underscores a commitment to promoting sustainable practices within the real estate industry.
An independent panel comprising ULI executives and committee members will evaluate nominations, seeking projects that embody low-carbon real estate solutions.

The Nightingale Village project emerged as the winner of The ULI’s Award for Decarbonisation in Real Estate due to its groundbreaking approach to addressing the housing crisis in Melbourne while prioritising sustainability and community building.
Six leading architecture firms collaborated through Nightingale Housing to create a fossil fuel-free precinct that offers sustainable, affordable, and people-centered homes.
The use of locally sourced and recycled materials, energy-efficient features, and a centralised renewable energy network contributed to the sustainability initiatives.
