Developer Loses Appeal Over Whitsunday Infrastructure

Homeland Property Developments has failed in its bid to overturn a ruling that requires it to pay for key water infrastructure at its $1.1-billion Whitsunday masterplanned community.
The Gold Coast-based developer, also operating as Great Rewards Group, is working on the staged development of a 234.7ha site south of Bowen dubbed Whitsunday Paradise.
The community would be developed into 1757 lots with lot sizes around 600sq m each and 340 medium density homes planned.
