Landream Drops Offices for Hotel Rooms on Glut Worries

Melbourne developer Landream has reworked its $900-million Sydney precinct plans, removing its commercial element entirely.
The project at 14-26 Wattle Street was approved in May for four buildings with 237 apartments dubbed Fig and Wattle, as well as a 14,500sq m commercial building with retail on the ground floor, and a 91-place childcare centre.
Landream has now applied to the City of Sydney Council to convert that Pyrmont commercial building into a hotel and residential apartments.
