Catherine MacGowan

Wisk vice president of the Asia Pacific and Air Operations

Experience: Catherine has more than 23 years experience in leadership roles, including as a Group Captain in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. She has led strategic change programs, integrated new aircraft fleets, and commanded a squadron of 160 staff.

Notable roles: Before joining Wisk, Catherine held various leadership positions across the New Zealand Defence Force, including transforming Air Force Intelligence and serving as Military Secretary to the New Zealand Minister of Defence. Her roles have spanned planning, operational, and strategic responsibilities.

Recognition: Catherine’s achievements include being dux of the New Zealand Defence Force’s Advanced Command & Staff Course and earning a Master in International Security (with distinction) from Massey University. She is also an alumna of the Global Women Breakthrough Leaders Program.
