Scully Backing Private Credit, Builders as Bathla Collapses

NSW planning minister Paul Scully is standing behind the private credit sector in the wake of the collapse of Sydney builder-developer Bathla and the flow-on effects of frozen and restricted redemption of funds.
Speaking exclusively to The Urban Developer, Scully said the Minns government was “looking at what’s happening with Bathla” and considering options to support affected homebuyers and contractors.
Scully also confirmed that he had not yet seen the details of a National Cabinet agreement on data centres, but that “we’ve got more work to do” on a regulatory framework.
