Kiss's Building EDM

The push is on to expediate a heritage adaptive reuse plan in the Sydney CBD as concerns grow about the crumbling Victorian-era base building.

In its application now before the City of Sydney, Northpoint Construction Group said that the facade of the building in Haymarket is “significantly deteriorating”, driving the need for “urgent” facade works that would enable full restoration of the remainder of the building.

The proposal by Northpoint to adaptive reuse the building at 698-704 George Street for  a 40-storey development was approved in 2019.
