Nominations Now Open for 2026 Urban Leader Awards

Cities do not build themselves. Behind every precinct, tower and masterplan is a person whose ambition, judgement and persistence made it happen.
The Urban Leader Awards brings these people to the fore.
Now in its third year, The Urban Developer’s Urban Leader Awards, presented by Zagga, returns in 2026 to recognise the individuals shaping Australia’s cities—and nominations open today.
No project entries. No company logos on trophies. The award is made to the person, not the organisation, and it stays with them across every role, board seat and appointment that follows.
Eighteen categories, every corner of the industry
From Developer of the Year to Future Leader, Women’s Leadership to Government Leadership, the program spans development, planning, design, construction, finance, legal, real estate, marketing, proptech and beyond.
Whether you are leading a company, backing bold projects or coming up through the ranks, there is a category for you. And if there is someone in your business who deserves recognition, put them forward.
How entries are assessed
Every submission is assessed against six weighted criteria: leadership, growth, innovation, responsibility, bravery and distinction. The same framework applies to every entry in every category.
Finalists and winners are announced to more than 80,000 property professionals through The Urban Developer, supported by editorial coverage throughout the program.
The company you will keep
Last year’s winners include Pelligra chairman Ross Pelligra (Developer of the Year), Housing Australia chief executive Scott Langford (Government Leadership), Urbis’s Kate Meyrick (Valuation and Advisory) and Network Pacific’s Tina Di Camillo (Legal).
This year, the winners will be announced at a black-tie gala to be held at the Four Seasons Sydney on Thursday, October 22.
