Mirvac's River Precinct Claims Top Australian Housing Award

’s recently sold-out waterfront River Precinct at Yarra’s Edge has been named the Townhouse/Villa Development of the Year in the 2014 HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.

Acknowledging excellence in construction, design and innovation, the annual awards recognise industry professionals who plan and construct quality new developments.

This is the second time Mirvac has won this prestigious award after Laureate in Albert Park took out the same award in 2012.

“I find it extremely rewarding that Mirvac’s commitment to design and lifestyle excellence has been recognised, once again, by one of the industry’s most respected bodies,” said John Carfi, Mirvac CEO of Residential.

Touted as Melbourne’s Millionaires Row, this multi-award winning low-rise waterfront neighbourhood marks an enviable inner-city location.

Inspired by the area’s rich maritime heritage, the exceptional homes offer unique, free-hold titles along the north facing bank of Melbourne’s Yarra River.

The project is now 100 per cent sold following the sale of its final home, which sold for more than $5million dollars, complete with marina berth. This brings total sales to more than $220 million since River Precinct launched at Yarra’s Edge.

The 82 residences were created by Mirvac’s in-house architects and the lush gardens and walkways designed by landscape architect, MDG.

“Building on the sell-out success of the luxury Riverfront homes, we are excited to launch the next chapter at Yarra’s Edge in spring which will include 18 brand new homes and a residential tower, featuring customisable options appealing to a contemporary lifestyle” adds Carfi.
