Every year, The Urban Developer Urban Leader Awards recognise the people shaping Australia’s property industry.

Nominations for the 2026 program are in the final stretch. Here is what is at stake.

This is the last window

Nominations for The Urban Developer Urban Leader Awards 2026, presented by Zagga, close Friday 11 September at 11.59pm AEST.

Here is what is on the table for the people who enter and what disappears for those who don’t.

Recognition that follows the person

The award is made to the individual, not the project or the company. It stays with them through every role, board seat and appointment that follows.

Every submission is assessed against the same six criteria in every category: leadership, growth, innovation, responsibility, bravery and distinction.

Visibility across the industry

Finalists will be announced on Thursday 17 September to more than 80,000 property professionals through The Urban Developer, with editorial coverage through to the gala.

A night in the room

Winners will be announced at a black-tie gala at the Four Seasons Sydney on Thursday 22 October, where finalists share the evening with the developers, executives and city shapers who define the industry.

It takes less than half an hour

If you have your notes ready, an entry takes less than 30 minutes. Eighteen categories cover every corner of the industry, from Developer of the Year and Future Leader to Planning, Construction, Finance and Proptech.

If someone in your business has earned it this year, or you have, this is the last window to say so.

Nominations close Friday 11 September at 11.59pm AEST. Once they do, the field is set until next year.
