Ceerose set to transform historic Harbour Mill in Sydney's Pyrmont

An $80 million mixed-use development has just been released to the market on the site of a former flour mill in central Sydney.

Developed by

Ceerose, a Sydney based boutique developer,

Harbour Mill is located on Allen Street in Sydney’s Pyrmont.

The site adjoins the Wentworth Park Light Rail Station and is within walking distance of Darling Harbour and the Sydney CBD.

Built in 1896, the Edwin Davey & Sons Flour Mill was one of Sydney's longest serving flour mills until its closure in 1996, after nearly 100 years of operation.

Designed by the internationally-acclaimed

Grimshaw Architects, the mixed-use development is a fusion of heritage architecture and contemporary design.

Headed by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, the design team brings together two strikingly different buildings – a four storey structure which sits within the existing heritage façade and a 10-storey structure which rises up and swallows the smaller building. A series of voids and setbacks provide crucial inter-connectivity between the buildings.

Harbour Mill features a combination of one, two and three bedroom apartments, as well as ground floor retail space, a communal gym and a terraced outdoor recreation area.

CBRE Residential Projects are marketing apartments start from $395,000.

Construction is anticipated to commence in 2012 with completion expected in 2013.
