Rising Tide of Luxury Apartments Washes Over Perth’s Coastal Hotspots

Perth’s northwest is heating up. North of the Swan River, from Cottesloe to Scarborough to Sorrento and beyond, the WA capital's coastal suburbs are ripe for higher density, high-rise and high-end development. 

“We believe nothing beats the WA coastline and Perth beaches in terms of lifestyle,” Gary Dempsey, founder of Gary Dempsey Developments (GDD), says.

But governments need to prioritise development in well-established communities with existing infrastructure, rather than allowing the unabated urban sprawl to continue unabated, he says.
