A 738-home precinct with three mixed-use towers rising to 50 storeys is being pursued around an approved but unfinished Greek Orthodox cathedral near the Parramatta CBD.

The Hellenic Orthodox Community of Parramatta and Districts has sought the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for its 1.34ha site at 163-165 George Street, about 400m east of the CBD.

Those requirements will define studies needed before an environmental impact statement can be lodged, exhibited and assessed.
