Design Heavyweights Collaborate for Industry Excellence Awards

305d0c5d-7425-46fe-9e1d-e3b1417ad3ce

This year, design and building heavyweights UAP and Brickworks have come together with The Urban Developer to collaborate on the design of a one-of-a-kind 2020 awards trophy.

Using the industry knowledge of Brickworks and the creative expertise of UAP, the process has pushed the boundaries of form and material experimentation to deliver a sculpturally unique outcome.

“We're thrilled to collaborate with industry leaders Brickworks and UAP as we celebrate excellent outcomes across all aspects of the property sector,” The Urban Developer chief executive Adam Di Marco said.

“And our 2020 winners can boast a trophy produced by the manufacturers of the Oscars statue.”

Global public and urban art studio Urban Arts Projects (UAP) not only brings design solutions to the table, but expertise in manufacturing.

“Our design team was given the unique opportunity to explore, transfer and fuse traditional fabrication and advanced manufacturing techniques to an object which will be a symbol of excellence in our region’s urban development,” Daniel Clifford UAP principal of art and design said.

After a successful awards collaboration in 2019, Brickworks national business manager Eve Castle said the 2020 awards trophy explored new forms and textures.

“Working in unison with fellow pioneers, Urban Arts Projects (UAP) and The Urban Developer, to explore how to create new forms and textures, while utilising our solid venetian glass bricks has been a highlight and we are sure the winners on the night will be thrilled with the result,” Brickworks national business development manager Eve Castle said.

“The collaboration has seen the 2020 awards move beyond a trophy and elevated to an art piece,” Castle said.
