Super Fast Internet Key to Build-to-Rent Success

af7383dc-eb3b-450f-b179-89da573b1d91

With the emergence of the rapidly growing build-to-rent market in Australia, internet and other embedded networks are in hot demand.

Australia is hot on the heels of UK’s build-to-rent growth as it approaches a pipeline of over 14,500 apartments and 2,000 co-living, according to Savills’ Market in Minutes report.

Developers and building managers are increasingly looking for commercial proptech services that offer great value and a better living experience for their residents.

Gigafy solves this problem with specialised internet designed for build-to-rent, high rises and townhouses.

“With the recent completion of Mirvac’s LIV Indigo project in Sydney Olympic Park, residents are enjoying heavily discounted superfast Internet,” Gigafy’s Chris Hawke said.

“There has been a great demand in both residential and commercial developments over the past few years, however the growth of build-to-rent there is now an even greater interest in the market.”

In the last month, Mirvac has also been trialling 12 months free internet which has been very effective in enticing new residents.

Mirvac national delivery manager of build-to-rent Anthony Garagounis has used Gigafy to great success.

“This is a fantastic new service in the Australian market which benefits our residents,” Garagounis said.

“Our residents love that their internet is online the day they move in with their pre-installed WiFi router.

“The Gigafy system is super-fast and offers competitive internet pricing in the market.”

Gigafy offers super-fast internet to residents with no contracts, no setup fees, instant connection and a month free trial as well as providing internet connectivity to all common areas throughout the building.

The product enables developers and building managers in residential and commercial buildings to offer Gigabit internet to their customers. They can include internet in their rentals and leases or sell the service which creates an attractive revenue stream for their businesses.

▲ Gigafy provides property developers the ability to take control of the internet experience within their buildings.

The Gigafy network has seen great success at one of Australia’s largest build-to-rent projects at the ex-Gold Coast Games Village, now the Smith Collective, comprising more than 1,200 apartments and townhouses managed by JLL.

Other major developers such as Morris Property Group have also used the Gigafy system at their recently finished project, Oceans Mermaid.

“Residents have enjoyed Gigafy’s super fast internet and exceptional customer service,” Morris Property Group general manager Brodie Lister said.

“Our residents love to roam throughout the property with their service, which is a great value-ad for the building and is unique to any internet service providers offering.”

Gigafy networks can now be fully integrated with smart building systems, CCTV-AV networks and property management software.

Gigafy is a crucial point of difference in a saturated market that also generates significant monthly revenue for developers and venue management. Super fast, super simple.
