Entries Coming To A Close For A' Design Awards; Here's Some Of Last Years Winners

S

March 2015 will see all of the best and most innovative designs come together to be judged for the annual A’ Design Awards in an effort to claim the prestigious and world-acclaimed title.

Entries officially close on 28 February in all 100 categories, and judging will begin soon after. Entries can be submitted directly through the A' Design Awards

website.

A 60-member jury comprised of industry professionals in the relevant fields will then evaluate the submitted designs. Winners will be chosen and contacted by 7 March and will be announced to the world through Dezeen on the April 15. Each winner will receive a metal trophy (which can only be created through the use of a 3D-printer due to its intricate design), mention in the A’ Design annual yearbook and a certificate of excellence.

Subsequent to the announcement, the winning designs will be showcased in Holland, Ireland and Italian museums with a special event celebrating the winners held in Lake Como.

The A’ Design Awards Competition is aimed to honour professional designers and amateurs alike by providing an international stage to showcase their works.

The competition features the best and most architecturally advanced products. This allows participants the opportunity to ‘highlight themselves’ in an effort to be recognised by the media, publishers and potential buyers.

Spanning over 100 different categories each with a distinct evaluation criterion, entrants from around the world are expected to submit some of the most high-quality designs.

With their mission to find and recognise the best and the brightest in the industry through a fair and competitive atmosphere, we can expect the 2015 competition to be the best showcase yet.

To win the prestigious award, designers must be in the same calibre as the winners from last years event. Here's some of the top designs:

The Ring House & Atelier by MZ Architects

Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island Architecture by Aedas

Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University Architecture by Aedas

Rising Moon Pavilion by Daydreamers Design

A full list of winners can be found here.
