Fiducia Reveals Data-Driven Biohacking Property Play

Fiducia Property Group has jumped on the wellness trend in a big way.
The boutique Sydney developer has revealed a franchise deal with self-proclaimed US “biohacker” Gary Brecka’s Ultimate Longevity Centres.
Fiducia development director Marie Doyle said on the Blueprint podcast this week that it was bringing the US phenomenon to Australia in its first site at Sydney’s Double Bay.
“Longevity and wellness has always been at the forefront of how we’ve designed our properties in the past,” Doyle told The Urban Developer managing editor Taryn Paris.
“We pivoted after Covid with changes to how we thought about design and how a person lives in their home and this is an added layer to that, answering the question; how do we actually help people live longer in these places?”
The deal gives Doyle and her team the master franchise licence for 50 locations across the country, with the team targeting Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane initially.
“This is a really great opportunity for us to reconnect [with developers in our network] on where there are some potential retail spaces and how we can work together to activate those spaces in a really meaningful way for the community,” Doyle said.
“Franchisees will naturally be able to select from a range of the pre-selected tenancies that we’re curating at the moment with developers.”
Ultimate Longevity Centres can include red light therapy, hyperbaric chambers and neurologic brain gyms, and Fiducia is looking at co-locating the model within precincts, residential buildings and other premium locations.
With clinicians in every location, there will be a focus on the holistic data coming out of the longevity centres.
“At the moment the longevity space is incredibly fragmented and disjointed in Australia,” Doyle said.
“You go one place for your blood, another place online for supplementation, and then you might go down the road and have a hyperbaric chamber.”
The aim is to integrate these services into one location, and tap into the wellness real estate market which is expected to surpass the $1.1 trillion mark globally by 2029, according to the Global Wellness Institute.
“People are now making the changes to shift the needle [on health and wellness], and education is power. There’s more education out there than ever before. And for us, it’s about getting people the right education at the right place. “
