Work Begins on Adelaide’s $200m Victoria Tower

Adelaide Victoria Tower HERO.

Construction has begun on one of Adelaide’s top five developments as a former nightclub gives way for an apartment tower.

Victoria Tower Adelaide at 32-38 Grote Street will replace a burlesque bar with a $200-million, 37-storey building.

South Australian-based property firm Auta Group is the developer of the project with Synergy Construct the builder. Completion is scheduled for 2025.

The tower will comprise 285 apartments in a mix of studios, one, two and three bedroom units plus six penthouses.

Two of the penthouses will span more than 600sq m while eight of the 37 storeys will be for commercial tenants.

Victoria Tower has already been occupied by commercial businesses and more than 60 per cent of the apartments have been sold.

Facilities for residents include gym, meeting rooms and a communal area, with a florist and cafe on the ground floor.

Close to the main strip of Adelaide CBD, Victoria Tower is near the Adelaide metro tram line, Victoria Square, Chinatown and the Central Market.

Auta Group managing director James Guo said Victoria Tower would “help Adelaide stand on its own two feet and become an attractive property market”.

“This will be another premium lifestyle and business location for the increasing number of people who want to live and work in the Adelaide CBD, which includes people from interstate and overseas,” he said.

“It will bring additional people into the city who will support local businesses.”
