Vue on King William has officially become Adelaide’s tallest residential building with the 85 metre, 28 storey building being officially opened by Deputy Premier John Rau in June.
Over the coming weeks, more than 400 residents will move into the residential apartment building providing a significant boost to the CBD’s population. The $100 million, 210 apartment development was almost fully sold within a couple of months of going to market in May 2014, with construction starting just four months later. The building took just 20 months from ground breaking to completion. Construction of the project created 200 jobs.
Vue was one of the first to take advantage of the state government’s pre-lodgement and design review process and was the first significant residential project to commence construction following introduction of the CBD planning reforms.
The 28 storey building took 20 months to build. Construction started in September 2014 and was completed in May 2016.
Vue on King William is a joint venture between Adelaide-based Starfish Developments and Melbourne-based Asian Pacific Group. Starfish Developments Managing Director Damon Nagel said opening Vue on King William was another sign that the City of Adelaide was continuing to grow, and mature as an attractive place to live as well as work and play.
