Located in the heart of midtown on 57th Street, this residential tower is considered quintessentially New York.
Designed by renowned architects, SHoP, the tower will slot between two existing buildings, spanning 45 feet wide but soaring to over 1,350 feet tall. The width to height ratio will make it the thinnest skyscraper in the world.
New York Yimby, the tower will stand 80 storeys tall, with 60 residences starting from $14 million. As the skinniest skyscraper on the planet the walls will be supported by extremely thick perimeter walls, which will be wrapped in terracotta, glass and bronze filagree, making for a striking addition to the New York City skyline.
Completion is currently expected for 2017.
