Merger Creates Australia’s First Unified Services Provider

supa merger

Australia’s first unified services provider has been formed with Smart Urban Properties Australia Limited (SUPA) successfully completing a pre-IPO capital raise of $9 million to consummate a merger that brings together b.energy, Fibercorp, Epsilon Security, Smart Automation Systems and connecX.

Funds raised provide working capital to grow and deliver SUPA’s contracted pipeline of projects, while the business prepares for an expected IPO on the ASX.

This move positions SUPA to create smarter, safer and more sustainable multioccupancy properties with renewable energy and mobility; super-fast fibre and communications infrastructure; and integrated in-building technologies.

“The formation of SUPA brings together complementary capabilities to create a differentiated proposition for property investors and owners. At SUPA, we have a passion to improve the lifestyles of the communities we serve by delivering inspiring buildings with future-proof amenities, services and enhanced occupier experiences,” SUPA Group chief executive Geoff Horth said.

“Our range of converged utilities, communications infrastructure and proptech services focus on increasing property attractiveness and valuation for property investors and providing smarter property experiences to everyone from owners and developers to occupiers and their communities.”

Following the merger, SUPA has introduced three operating divisions, leveraging the strengths of the acquired businesses and their teams:

SUPA Energy: A progressive full-service utility provider that funds and optimises energy infrastructure in new and existing properties to enhance sustainability, future-proof for electric mobility and provide affordable and easy to use energy services for occupiers

SUPA Networks: A design and integration specialist that builds smart gigabit fibre networks and overlay solutions to provide ultra-fast connectivity for occupiers while supporting in-building technologies on a single fibre backbone;

SUPA Tech: An integration technology partner with a full range of building access control, intercom, CCTV and emerging automation technologies to create smart spaces connected by connecX, a community engagement platforms and app suite.

“The formation of SUPA changes the game for property investors, developers and owners, bringing together a full-range of complementary capabilities and experience to deliver smart, sustainable and future-proofed properties,” Horth said.
