Sun Property Files Mosman Residential Project Plans

The proposed plans for the luxury residential project by Wayne Sun's Sun Property Group.

Sun Property Group has filed plans for a 34-unit luxury residential and retail project in Sydney’s Mosman.

A+ Design founder Tony Leung has designed plans for the mixed-use project at 64-66 Spit Road, which comprises 34 units across five levels and two levels of basement car parking.

The 1591sq m site will have 24 parking spaces for residents, nine for visitors and 27 for the retail component.

Four units will be adaptable—designed so they can be modified easily to become accessible to occupants and visitors with disabilities.

Eight will be visitable, meaning they are better set up for people with mobility aids.

The corner block is bordered by Spit and Ourimbah road and Hordern Lane. It is the former location of the Mosman Post Office.

The plans show a communal open space on the rooftop as well as 432sq m of ground-floor retail space.

Planning approval is expected this year or in early 2023 with construction slated to start soon after.

The site is close to The Albert Hotel and the Bridgepoint Shopping Centre.

The Sun Property Group, established by Wayne Sun in 2010,  bought the site in July, 2021 for $17.5 million.

There are 19 objections against the plan, including parking and access concerns, the building’s height, its mass and setbacks from the road.

Sun Property has 12 other residential projects—one in Toorak and the others in NSW.
