Shovels Hit Dirt on 5Point’s $500m Rainbow Bay Apartment Tower

South-East Queensland developer-builder 5Point has broken ground on a $100-million, 17-storey residential tower at Rainbow Bay, expanding its workbook on the Gold Coast.

The development, dubbed Alora, will occupy an 810sq m corner site at 12 Ward Street in the state’s southernmost beachfront pocket and surfing mecca.

Demolition work on the site is complete and construction is under way, with practical completion slated for the third quarter of 2028.
