191 off the plan apartments sold out within a matter of hours over the weekend, as savvy buyers headed to Thornton in Penrith to get their slice of city living in Sydney's west.
By 2pm, all 191 apartments had sold out. Prices ranged from $395,000 for one-bedroom to a top priced three-bedroom apartment for $712,000.
The $101 million dollars worth of apartments was the second stage in the Thornton apartment and retail precinct project. This stage included two nine-storey buildings and one five-storey building designed by award-wining architects DKo.
A joint venture development between leading private construction and property-company St Hilliers, and First Point Projects retail and community developers, Thornton Central is the first high rise residential apartment buildings to be built in the Penrith city centre. It is part of the wider Thornton community, masterplanned by UrbanGrowth NSW.
The residential and commercial precinct features 500-plus apartments and a 5,500sqm commercial space adjacent to Penrith train station, including cafes, restaurants, a gymnasium, a supermarket, serviced apartments, a hotel and medical centre.
