Metro Targets Berwick With New $14m Project

1

Metro Property Development has secured a new development site in Berwick, 45km east of Melbourne’s CBD, with plans to deliver 25 house and land packages.

The $14 million Waterside Homes Berwick development will deliver two, three and four bedroom house and land packages, with prices for the homes ranging from mid $400,000 for a two-bedroom, single storey home to $600,000 for a four-bedroom plus study, double storey design.

The residential blocks on offer range in size from 169 sqm to 421 sqm and are located next to 90ha of parklands and wildlife rich wetlands.

Metro’s General Manager of Victorian Development David Steele said the project was part of the company’s Communities portfolio which focused on well-priced boutique developments in high demand suburban locations.

He said the Melbourne market was experiencing significant demand from young professionals and families who were keen to enter the market and secure their dream home.

“Metro has seen strong demand across the Melbourne market in recent months, particularly for townhome style products close to amenities and transport,” Mr Steele said.

“Speaking from experience we expect enquires for Waterside Homes Berwick to be very strong. Our recent projects at Balwyn and Ivanhoe each sold out within weeks of hitting the market.”

Waterside Homes Berwick, located on Moondarra Drive, will be released to the market later this month and Metro’s homebuilding business, Creation Homes, will commence construction of the homes in September.
