Melbourne could soon get another addition to its growing skyline, with an application for a new 68-storey tower lodged with the Department of Planning and Community Development.
The application for a permit was lodged by Adelaide Smith and is for proposed building and works associated with the construction of a 68-storey mixed-use development comprising 399 apartments, 196 hotel rooms and cafe and retail at ground level.

The tower would be built at 478 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.
The proposed development would join other planned towers for the Melbourne CBD including Brookfield Multiplex's $300 million, 72-level Prima Tower in Queensbridge Street (the second tallest in Melbourne) and UEM Sunrise's 92-level Aurora Melbourne Central (the tallest residential tower).
