The $38 million, state-of-the-art
Griffith Business School has officially opened on the Gold Coast.
Designed by Brisbane-based practice
Wilson Architects, the new Griffith Business School integrates learning spaces with modern technology to meet the study patterns and teacher-interaction demands of today's students.
In fulfilling its winning design competition brief, Wilson Architects have created a contemporary eye-catching learning centre that promises to seize the imagination of the next generation of business students and the local Gold Coast business community.
The Griffith Business School signifies another milestone in the ongoing expansion of the Gold Coast's formidable education sector.
“Ideas will be exchanged, new collaborations established and a place created that fosters a sense of collegiate and industry partnership within the wider professional business community,” says Wilson Architects Director John Thong.
“When you look at the materials themselves, the bulk of the construct is simply aluminium, glass and rendered masonry, which makes the building an economically sound outcome as well as very well detailed, functional structure.”
Students have direct access from within the campus proper or via a more socially conducive lower level that has a cafe and seating.
