The latest stage of Harry Triguboff’s $3-billion Pagewood Green project is being considered.
Plans for a mixed-use development of two buildings connected by a podium base has been submitted to Sydney’s Bayside Council by Triguboff’s Meriton development arm.
The project, at 2 Tingwell Boulevard, Eastgardens, will deliver 214 apartments, a mix of one, two and three bedroom types.
Carparking for 278 cars is proposed, over three levels of basement parking.
The $131-million project, about a 15-minute drive south of the Sydney CBD, is being designed by Plus Architecture and includes communal pools, a gym, gardens and “break out” spaces.
The built form “has been designed to allow for and complement future development within the wider Pagewood Green site”.
It is one of various detailed applications for the staged concept development of Meriton’s Pagewood Green project.
The larger landholding has been subdivided for the wider project and the current application relates to Lot C, at the corner of Bunnerong Road and Tingwell Boulevard, which was rezoned for high density in 2019.
The mammoth staged project saw movement back in 2021 after Meriton snapped up another 2.7ha site.
This was Stage 2 of Meriton’s plans for the former British American Tobacco site at 128 Bunnerong Road and 120 Banks Avenue, Pagewood.
When complete, the concept plan for the wider site will develop nine different development lots and provide 1800 new homes, as well as 5000sq m of non-residential floorspace and 20,000sq m of open space.
It was also reported last year that Triguboff's development vehicle intended to develop a rival shopping centre to the Westfield Eastgardens close by.
