Melbourne-Style Apartments Launch In Woolloongabba

A unique luxury apartment development launched earlier this week, bringing a Melbourne-style influence to the heart of Woolloongabba.

Already 20 per cent sold, Essence Woolloongabba is the brainchild of residential developer Treelight Development Group, with the aspirational project featuring 89 apartments with panoramic city views.

Located on a prime site in Carl Street, Essence Woolloongabba borders parkland and is a short stroll to a wide range of facilities including a shopping centre with speciality shops, cafes, restaurants, public transport and the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Treelight Development Group commissioned Rothelowman to design the 12-level development which has an emphasis on space, light and views.

“Our vision for Essence was to create a luxurious, yet affordable development that featured a design and finish not previously seen in Woolloongabba,” Treelight Development Group CEO Jon Simpson said.

“We have achieved this by infusing the project with a Melbourne-style flavour that offers timeless appeal and sophistication.

“Another highlight of the project is that it promotes a walkable lifestyle, with the apartments connected to all of the conveniences of urban living in the heart of Woolloongabba," he said.

“It just reconfirms that this type of residential product is what is needed in the thriving Woolloongabba precinct."Rothelowman architect Jeff Brown said Essence Woolloongabba’s unique design focused on organic and natural product including timber, stone and concrete.

“Stand out features include Athena marble style stone benchtops in the kitchens, timber floors throughout and Himalaya floor-to-ceiling tiles,” Mr Brown said.

Essence Woolloongabba will include three levels of underground parking, a pool, outdoor barbecue area and a residents’ lounge.

The development features one-bedroom apartments priced from $395,000, two-bedroom apartments priced from $495,000 and three-bedroom apartments starting at $697,500.

Selected apartments will boast city views from balconies and all feature large bedrooms with a walk-in-robe, floor-to-ceiling windows, high quality appliances, timber floors and loop pile carpet.

Essence Woolloongabba is three kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and is located across the road from Buranda Shopping Village which has cafes, restaurants, a medical centre, fitness centre and Woolworths.

The project is 200 metres from the Princess Alexandra Hospital and a short stroll to The Gabba, a major bus interchange and the Buranda train station. Meanwhile, the Queensland University of Technology is also just three kilometres away.

Queensland’s Tomkins Commercial and Industrial Builders will commence construction of Essence Woolloongabba early 2017, with completion expected in 2018.
