Third.i Plots Homes as Maitland Jail Rebirth Filed
A former prison that housed serial killer Ivan Milat could transform into a mixed-use precinct as development in a NSW regional centre ramps up.
Plans for accommodation and a restaurant have been filed with the Maitland City Council for the old Maitland Gaol site at 6/18 John St, East Maitland, as part of the major Maitland Gaol Redevelopment Plan.
Meanwhile, Third.i Group is plotting about 900 homes at 559 Anambah Road, Gosforth, about 12km north of Maitland, including a low-density build-to-rent precinct.
